Bei den TCE-Vorstandswahlen wurden auch die vier Vizepräsidenten – Konrad Blass (Südtirol/Italien), Simon Kathrein (Österreich), Christian Engel (Luxemburg) und Hansjörg Steiner (Schweiz) – ebenso wie der amtierende Generalsekretär Johannes Niedermeyer sowie der stellvertretende Generalsekretär Wolfgang Mair, wiedergewählt.

Timber Construction Europe verfügt über die drei Kommissionen Bildung, Kommunikation und Technik. In den zwei thematischen Schwerpunktbereichen Bildung und Technologie befasst sich der europäische Dachverband hauptsächlich mit der Optimierung der rechtlichen und normativen Marktzugangsbedingungen für den Holzbau in Europa. Dieses Ziel wird durch Wissenstransfer, Forschung und Entwicklung sowie Normungsarbeit erreicht.

Die Kommission Bildung arbeitet zudem gemeinsam mit europäischen Partnern daran, auf Grundlage eines europäischen Qualifikationsrahmens im Holzbau für mehr Transparenz und Vergleichbarkeit der Berufsbildung in Europa zu sorgen.

TCE-Prolog zum energetischen Sanieren des Gebäudebestands 

Der von TCE am Mittwoch, dem 3. Dezember 2025 veranstaltete Prolog zum Thema „Bauen im Bestand – EU-Klimaschutzziele nur über den Gebäudebestand erreichbar“ stieß bei den Teilnehmern des diesjährigen IHF auf reges Interesse. Im Rahmen der Veranstaltung im großen Saal Tirol des Congress Innsbruck referierten Wissenschaftler und Anwender zu Potentialen und Herausforderungen eines klimaverträglichen Gebäudebestands, zu Lösungen für urbane Nachverdichtung, zu serieller Aufstockung als Chance für nachhaltige Wohnungsbau- und Ortsentwicklung und zur Wirtschaftlichkeit serieller Sanierung, zum Holzbaubestand als Ressource für die Kreislaufwirtschaft sowie zur Wiederverendung von statisch beanspruchtem Holz. Moderiert wurde der Prolog von Wolfgang Mair, Vize-Generalsekretariat von Timber Construction Europe.

The General Assembly of Timber Construction Europe (TCE), the European umbrella organisation for the carpentry and timber construction industry, met on Tuesday, 2 December 2025, in Innsbruck ahead of the 29th International Timber Construction Forum (IHF). At the TCE board elections, which take place every three years, the incumbent president, Peter Aicher, was re-elected to his position.
