Who we are

Timber Construction Europe is the European roof organization uniting national associations representing small and medium sized businesses in timber construction.

We currently represent 22.000 member companies through our member associations in Italy, Luxemburg, Germany, Switzerland and Austria.

What we want

Our aim is to promote timber construction and timber architecture in Europe and provide a meaningful and sustainable contribution to making the building industry more ecological, especially with regards to energy consumption and resourcing.

We advocate a practical configuration of European regulations and standards. We regularly send experts to relevant European standard committees and strive for the applicability of CE labelling rules.

A constant advancement of our apprentices and employees is of paramount importance to the TCE, also with regards to creating quality places of employment for young people.

We take part in shaping European legislative initiatives, mandates for harmonised European standards as well as European funding programmes for timber construction.
