Through intensive networking, Timber Construction Europe strengthens the training and further training concepts of the member countries, thus promoting a world-class level of performance in the carpentry trade for modern timber construction.  

Based on the subsidiarity principle, Timber Construction Europe seeks to balance the pan-European differences of national education and training concepts by applying a multi-stage plan as a tool in the educational activity area in terms of all European timber construction companies. 

Stages:

  1. Intensive networking in education and training through conferences and exchange programmes
  2. Development of a skills comparison system for businesses and professionals 
  3. Installation of an internet platform for businesses and professionals on the basis of the skills system

 

Furthermore, every opportunity is used to cooperate with the EU Commission, institutions, associations and educational institutions. In this way, Timber Construction Europe increases the interest in the profession and the diversity of perspectives in the timber industry. 

Objectives:

  • Assurance in the design and implementation of transparent and consistent training and further training in Europe 
  • Continuous adaptation of the training, ongoing training, and further training to the needs of the profession and of the market in the Member States 
  • Production and development of a qualified recruits and creation of job prospects in the carpentry trade 
  • Increase in the quality of education throughout Europe
